Brave Draw for Cyprus Away to Slovenia.

A spirited performance from the Cyprus Men's National Team earned a well-deserved draw away to Slovenia.

The friendly match in Ljubljana ended 1-1, with Cyprus showing encouraging signs ahead of its upcoming competitive fixtures.

Cyprus played with ten men for approximately half an hour after Panayiotis Andreou was sent off following a second yellow card.

The visitors took the lead with their first meaningful attack of the match in the 7th minute. Stavros Georgiou won possession in midfield and delivered an excellent through ball to Marinos Tzionis, who calmly lifted his finish over Jan Oblak to make it 1-0.

Slovenia gradually took control of possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances despite seeing more of the ball.

Cyprus remained well-organized defensively and looked dangerous on the counterattack. In the 45th minute, Grigoris Kastanos came close to doubling the lead, but his powerful effort sailed just over the crossbar.

The turning point came in the 61st minute when Panayiotis Andreou received his second yellow card and was sent off, leaving Cyprus a man down.

Shortly afterward, Vanja Drkušić equalized for Slovenia with a close-range finish following sustained pressure inside the penalty area.

Despite the hosts' increased pressure, the Cyprus internationals showed great determination and discipline to hold on for a deserved draw.
